The Discover Twickenham Christmas lights switch on event will take place on Friday 24 November, with events taking place across the town.

The event will start at 3pm, with family activities for local residents and children to join in with after school.

As in previous years there will be fully dressed and lit Christmas trees on Twickenham Green and King street and this year an additional tree will be added on Heath Road.

There will be switch-on events happening at each tree location, a Santa's grotto to visit and live music and entertainment on the main stage outside the old Barclays building on King Street.

Enhanced Christmas lights will be installed across the town covering and area almost 1 mile in length, this includes placing lights on 70 individual lampposts, lighting up 26 trees and adding 3 new cross-street lighting displays on York street.

The event has been moved from the weekend in order to allow more local employees to take part in the event and to encourage them to spend time in the town after work.
