Twickenham coach to host 24-hour livestream for mental health charity Mind
By Nub News Reporter 15th Apr 2026
A Twickenham-based coach is set to broadcast live for 24 hours in support of mental health charity Mind during Mental Health Awareness Week.
Kim Stokes, 44, founder of Kindness for Success, will host the #24forKindness livestream from 11 to 12 May, bringing together leading authors and wellbeing experts to explore how kindness can improve mental health and workplace culture.
The event nearly doubles the length of Kim's 2024 livestream, which ran for 15 hours and raised £2,000 for Mind.
This year, Stokes hopes to go even further by extending both the duration and impact of the fundraiser.
The 24-hour broadcast will feature a range of well-known speakers and experts, including:
- Gifty Enright, author of Octopus on a Treadmill
- Anita Cleare
- Graham Allcott
- Julie Smith
- Zoe Blaskey
- Nicky Denson Elliott
- Lynn Blades
Discussions will focus on practical ways to build self-kindness into everyday life, the difference between self-care and self-kindness, and how these habits can improve overall wellbeing.
Stoke's journey into mental health advocacy began after experiencing burnout while working as a senior HR director.
She said: "On paper, I was successful. But I was exhausted, anxious, and at the bottom of my own priority list.
"Self-kindness wasn't something I practised – it was something I thought I'd 'earn' once everything else was done."
After being made redundant, Stokes retrained and launched Kindness for Success to support overwhelmed working mothers before they reach crisis point.
The coach hopes the livestream will help break down stigma around mental health and encourage more open conversations.
She added: "Mental health still carries stigma. We talk openly about physical health, but mental wellbeing needs the same everyday attention.
"Self-kindness is not all bubble baths and spa days – it's boundaries, rest, honest self-talk and redefining success on your own terms."
The livestream will run from 6am to midnight on 11 May, and from 8am to 2pm on 12 May.
Funds raised will go towards supporting Mind's work helping people experiencing mental health challenges across the UK.
