Staff at Twickenham Library are encouraging readers to go on a blind date - with a book.

Residents in the area looking for their next read should "take a chance" and visit its 'Blind Date With a Book' shelf.

With the book cover wrapped up, the only clues readers are left with on what it is about, is the genre and what the staff member likes about the novel.

On a book classified as fiction, one staff member wrote: "A multi-generational story spanning Europe about family, motherhood and finding your place in this world."

The opening hours for Twickenham Library on Garfield Road are:

  • Monday - 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Tuesday - 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday - 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Thursday - 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Friday - 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Saturday - 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Sunday - Closed
