Meet and Deep, located on Hampton Road, near Twickenham Green dubs themselves 'the friendliest newsagent in Twickenham'.

They are a hub of the community, opening every year on Christmas Day for those who want a hug and offering a place for people to 'trick or treat' on Halloween!

In a post on social media site X (formerly known as Twitter), Munira said: "I was delighted to present the Points of Light award to Meet and Deep newsagents in Twickenham.

"Shashi & Pallu Patel richly deserve this award for their 40 years of helping locals, supporting good causes & caring for wildlife.

"Their contribution to our community is immense."
