Twickenham-resident musician and composer Nick Magnus releases his seventh rock album today (16 September).

Titled 'A Strange Inheritance', the album presents a progressive rock voyage; a swashbuckling tale of love, loss and revenge.

The artist says the album reveals the story of a young woman whose misplaced love condemns her to the grim streets of eighteenth-century London.

Deported for theft, she travels across the high seas to the New World where an island paradise is not all it seems.

With "A Strange Inheritance" Nick continues to push the boundaries of symphonic rock, blending orchestral, rock, and jazz instrumental colours into strong and emotive melodies.

More clearly than in earlier work, this new album presents a dramatic story set against an historical background.

Keyboardist Nick Magnus started his musical career in 1976 with the cult symphonic rock ensemble, The Enid.

He is best known for his collaboration with ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, extensively touring Europe, the UK and US between 1978 and 1989, and providing his talents to a dozen of Hackett's albums to date.

The release of 'A Strange Inheritance' comes five years after Nick's last album 'Catharsis' in 2019.
