Beaumont House Day Nursery has collected donations for a Twickenham-based homeless charity as part of a collective group-wide initiative to spread some joy this Christmas.

Parents and families of the Nursery, located on Heath Road, donated dried and tinned goods alongside festive treats in order to support individuals during the festive period, through Spear London.

The charity supports people experiencing homelessness in SW London including Richmond, Merton, Sutton, Kingston and Wandsworth.

Alongside donations left by kind-hearted parents, the Beaumont team were able to 'top-up' the goods, thanks to a monetary donation from CC Nurseries, with some much-needed items.

Donations were delivered to the homeless charity by the team and some of the children on Thursday.

Beaumont House Nursery Manager Kay Johnson-King said: "It was important to us to help out in our local community at what can be a particularly difficult time. We are so proud of the work that Spear achieve day in day out within our area, and wanted to give them some support at Christmas.

"Part of our vision and values is to ensure our children learn more about where they're from and the wider world, and it is through activities such as this that we are able to extend their learning.

"We look forward to doing even more for our neighbourhood in 2022."

CC Nurseries Group provides inspirational Early Childhood Learning and Care to nearing 800 families in settings across England and Scotland, and the group has recently been nominated as finalists in the Business Development Category of the Nursery Management Today (NMT) Awards 2021.

Beaumont House Day Nursery has places available for children aged 12 weeks to five years, in the new year. More information can be found at www.bhdaynursery.co.uk
