The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the whole of England, with heavy winds and rain set to pick up from Wednesday.

Yellow warnings are issued when it is likely the weather will cause some low level impacts, including some disruption to travel.

The severity of the winds coming to the UK from the west after an Atlantic storm is such that the service is predicting there will be problems for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges.

Heavy rain has been forecast in Twickenham on Wednesday (March 10) with winds of 13-17mph for much of the day.

They will pick up overnight and reach around 40mph in town on Thursday morning and afternoon.

Twickenham Nub News will keep you up to date and alert you to any closures.

Some short term loss of power and other services is possible says the Met Office.
