Twickenham’s H&L Motors named exclusive body repair partner for Aston Martin dealership

Twickenham-based vehicle specialist H&L Motors has secured appointment as the exclusive structural body repairer for Aston Martin Walton-on-Thames (Hersham Walton Motors).
Following a rigorous nine-month accreditation process by Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, H&L will now undertake all Category A repairs and warranty paintwork on behalf of the world's oldest Aston Martin dealership, based in Hersham.
The family-run firm was established in 1953 by Henry Laney and is now led by Managing Partner Jonathon Laney, continuing a proud three-generation legacy.
With a team of 40 specialists, H&L handles more than 6,000 vehicles annually, offering a comprehensive suite of services, from ADAS and diagnostics to electric vehicle repair, accident management, and paint and body restoration.
The firm is already a manufacturer-approved repairer for Audi, Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda, Cupra and VW Commercial Vehicles.
The new agreement sees H&L entrusted with restoring Aston Martin vehicles to factory standard, having already completed repairs on close to 200 Aston Martins during the pilot phase.
The collaboration also includes support for HWM's Caterham Cars brand, providing structural and paint services for the high-performance track specialists.
Reflecting on the appointment, Managing Partner of H&L, Jonathon Laney said: "This day has been two years in the making and represents a major milestone for H&L.
"I'm incredibly proud of my team and grateful for their dedication to the exceptional standards that made this possible.
"During a visit to the Aston Martin factory, it was explained to me that once built, a car is not an Aston Martin until it wears the badge – and it doesn't wear the famous Aston Martin wings until it is 100% perfect.
"We have adopted this 'factory finish' ethos, and are honoured to provide the same experience to HWM and Aston Martin customers.
"I dedicate this historic achievement to my father, Peter Laney, who instilled in H&L a culture of continual improvement."
CEO of HWM, Guy Jenner, added: "As you might expect, we don't take decisions on who handles our vehicles lightly. We have to be supremely confident that the same care, respect, dedication and passion is there.
"We felt there was an alignment in both the histories and values of HWM and H&L. H&L has already demonstrated this with significant investment in training and tooling, and outstanding results on the first vehicles under their care."
Founded in 1938, HWM began its Aston Martin partnership in 1951, offering sales, servicing and parts for over 80 years.
Still privately owned, HWM is led by Chairman Andrew Harting and Jenner.
