Twickenham's popular High Tide Festival is just days away from its return on Sunday, 27 July, and organisers say they are closing in on their fundraising goal.

High Tide Twickenham CIC, the non-profit behind the festival, launched a crowdfunding campaign earlier this summer to help cover the cost of staging the event and supporting a record-breaking 101 bands and artists.

Festival Co-Founder, Kevin Jones, said: "The Crowdfunding campaign has been incredibly successful and we're now at nearly 90% of the target.

"We hope to hit the target by the big day.

"One of the rare and amazing artefacts you can only get through the Crowdfunder is these gorgeous 'First Edition' copies of More, the latest album by Pulp.

"Packed full of great Pulp songs, there are only 500 of these editions worldwide. We were lucky enough to have two donated by the amazing folk at Rough Trade Records."

At the time of writing, the campaign has raised £15,350 towards its £17,500 target, with support from more than 289 people since launching in June.

The free-to-attend festival, now in its sixth year, has grown to become a major fixture in Twickenham and south west London.

Originally planning for 90 acts organisers expanded the line-up making this year's High Tide the biggest yet.

All money raised from the crowdfunding campaign goes directly towards supporting the artists, covering staging and production costs, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the event.

High Tide is delivered through a partnership between High Tide Twickenham CIC, Discover Twickenham BID, Richmond Council, The Friends of Twickenham Green, and a wide network of local businesses and volunteers.
