After the snow, cometh the ice.

A weather warning has been issued by the Met Office, running until 11am tomorrow (Monday, January 25).

"Icy patches will likely cause some travel disruption," the forecaster said.

It urged residents to be wary of:

- injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces

- icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths

Temperatures may be as low as -3C tonight and the cold snap will continue into Monday, with highs of 5C.

On the bright side, it will be a very sunny winter's day.
