Weekend rail services disrupted

By Rory Poulter

25th Nov 2022 | Local News

Trains through the borough will be cancelled on Sunday due to engineering works with travellers having to switch to bus replacement services.

There will be no trains on the line between Twickenham through Richmond to Clapham Junction on Sunday.

The line between Kew Bridge through to Barnes Bridge and Clapham Junction will also have no trains on Sunday.

A national strike by train drivers, who are members of the ASLEF union, will hit many rail services on Saturday, although not those operated by South Western Railway (SWR).

The strike action may well mean that fans attending the England v South Africa game at Twickenham on Saturday from around the country will switch to the roads, which could well lead to local jams.
