Friday, October 7 – Witch Hunt

Witch Hunt asks who really holds the power in a world where the witches have become the hunters and the predators are now the prey?

Following their sell-out, award-winning show Enter The Dragons, Abigail Dooley and Emma Edwards return with a spell-binding, surreal and darkly hilarious tale, directed by Cal McCrystal.

Witch Hunt weaves a cautionary fairy tale for our time. It celebrates the wisdom of the witch, unpacks the notion of predator and conjures a world of coven-ready weird sisters.

Saturday, October 8 - Sh*t-faced Shakespeare: Macbeth

The smash-hit, internationally acclaimed, multi sell-out fringe phenomenon is touring the UK with one of Shakespeare's most loved plays: Macbeth.

An hilarious combination of an entirely serious adaptation of a Shakespearean classic, with an entirely shit-faced cast member. With one cast member selected at random and given four hours to drink before every show we present to you classical theatre as it was always meant to be seen. With a gin in one hand, a cup of wine in the other and a flagon of ale in the other… What could possibly go wrong?

The show seeks to introduce a new generation of theatre-goers to the works of the Bard by reviving the raucous, interactive and vibrant nature of Elizabethan theatre with a very modern twist – reminding them as we go to always enjoy Shakespeare responsibly.

Sunday, October 9 - Gary Crowley presents a John Lennon tribute with biographer Ray Connolly

BBC Radio London's Gary Crowley returns to The Exchange for another of his popular Sunday evening Q&As.

Ahead of a special John Lennon birthday screening of the powerful documentary Imagine: John Lennon (1988), Gary will be joined by writer and John Lennon biographer, Ray Connolly.

Gary makes no secret of his love of The Beatles so this promises to a truly fab evening.

Felicity Kendal, Jonathan Coy, Matthew Kelly and Tracy-Ann Oberman star in the 40th anniversary production of one of the greatest British comedies ever written.

Hurtling along at breakneck speed, Noises Off follows the antics of a touring theatre company as they stumble their way through the fictional farce, Nothing On.

From the shambolic final rehearsals before opening night in Weston-Super-Mare, to a disastrous matinee in Ashton-Under-Lyme seen entirely, and hilariously silently, from backstage, before we share their final, brilliantly catastrophic performance.

Discover bold new artistic and horticultural installations across the Temperate House by renowned Mexican artist Betsabeé Romero, designer Fernando Laposse and UK award winning garden designer Jon Wheatley. The works each reflect the beauty and colour of Mexican culture and its deep connection with plants and the natural world.

Richmond Run-Fest

October 8-9 – Running festival

Six different distanced events, 10,000 runners, a music stage and a fitness expo, including Richmond marathon on Sunday.

Events on Saturday include the WWF kids mile races at Old Deer Park followed by a fun Visit Cayman Islands Sundown run and after-party.

On Sunday, the marathon and half-marathon start inside Kew Gardens. The marathon course involves running along the Thames through Richmond, Twickenham, Teddington and Kingston to Hampton Court before circling back to finish in Old Deer Park.

Virtual event - The Duke and Duchess of Lauderdale lived in grand style – and a sure sign of fashionable status was their employment of a French chef John Blangy.

Tour kitchen, stillroom and domestic offices at Ham and explore some of the recipes the Lauderdales and their royal guests might have enjoyed.

It is a time of novelty, new ingredients and new techniques – and surprises like chilli bread, made from diarist John Evelyn's recipe, and an aphrodisiac pie made from sweet potatoes.

Subtly kinetic beings made from coiled steel and inflatables create a playful and sometimes unsettling effect as they dangle and wobble precariously.

Artist Mandeep Dillon's site-specific installation is a commentary on the fragility and ephemeral nature of human and non-human existence.

Turner's House, Twickenham

Until October 31 - Between the Sheets: Turner's Nudes

There have been rave reviews in the national press for this exhibition concentrating on a rarely seen side of Britain's greatest artist.

Loved as the master of landscapes and seascapes such as The Fighting Temeraire, Hannibal Crossing the Alps and Norham Castle, few know that Turner's sketchbooks also contain depictions of the female form.

Yet Turner was a compulsive recorder of his life and travels, and produced drawings and watercolours of models, sexual encounters, literary fantasies, and his lovers such as Sophia Booth.

This small-scale exhibition is one of the first to look at Turner's engagement with the naked female form, specifically within intimate and erotic contexts and provides invaluable insight into the man, and his attitude to and relationship with women.

This exhibition is possible thanks to a generous loan from Tate.
