Richmond-based England have begun preparations for their Autumn Nations Series this November by taking part in a three-day training camp at Twickenham Stadium.

The 36-player squad began preparations in Richmond on Sunday 2 October and have been put through their paces ahead of their opener against Argentina on Sunday 6 November.

There have been first call ups for Northampton's Saints' Alex Coles and Saracens' Hugh Tizard, with both players having previously appeared for England U20's, while Manu Tuilagi and Sam Simmonds are among those who return from injury.

Ben Youngs, Alex Mitchell and Tom Pearson also returned from spells on the sidelines and took part in the three-day training camp.

Ahead of the November series, England's Senior Men Coach, Eddie Jones said: "With a year to go to the Rugby World Cup, this is a big opportunity for players to come in and impress. We want them to show a real energy and enthusiasm and that they want to be a part of this massive year.

"It doesn't mean that those who have been left out won't be considered for the Autumn Nations Series matches. We'll be looking at club games, form and fitness and the door is left open for those players.

"We finished the Australia tour well. It was a fantastic experience, particular for the younger players. We now have to start again, but we'll build on what we've done there and continue that momentum."
