Declan Rice and Luke Shaw, who were both born in Kingston, have been selected by Gareth Southgate to be a part of the England squad for the 2022 World Cup.
Southgate selected his 26-man squad for the finals this afternoon and, as expected, included the two Kingston-born players.
Shaw made his debut for the Three Lions back in 2014 as a half-time substitute for Ashley Cole in a 1-0 win against Denmark and has since won 23 caps for his country and scored three goals.
This is the second World Cup that the 27-year-old will be a part of, having been selected by Roy Hodgson for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, where he made his World Cup debut in the third group match against Costa Rica, in which England drew 0-0.
Shaw then missed out on the 2018 World Cup due to a combination of injuries and mixed form, but was back in the squad last summer for Euro 2020.
He started every game of the tournament aside from the opener against Croatia and scored the fastest ever goal in a European Championships final as England went on to loose on penalties against Italy.
Rice has earned 34 caps for England since switching allegiance from Republic of Ireland in 2019 and he made his debut in March of the same year against Czech Republic and was an ever present in England's run to the final of Euro 2020.
This will be the West Ham midfielder's first taste of World Cup football and will be expected to start for Southgate in Qatar.
The World Cup will begin on 20th November when hosts Qatar face Ecuador and England's campaign will get underway the following day against Iran.
