Harlequins are Premiership Champions for the second time in their history after defeating Exeter Chiefs 38-40 at Twickenham in a dramatic Gallagher Premiership Final.

Two tries from Louis Lynagh in the final fifteen minutes were enough to cap off a remarkable season which saw Paul Gustard depart in January.

Other tries came from Wilco Louw, Alex Dombrandt and Andre Esterhuizen in what was the most enthralling of games.

Chiefs fought valiantly but their efforts came up short.

The early exchanges saw Quins get the first points of the game after Chiefs were penalised for collapsing the maul.

Referee Matthew Carley awarded Quins a penalty try and sent Jonny Hill to the sin bin.

Chiefs then fought their way back into it with tries from Jonny Gray and Alec Hepburn with Marcus Smith sent to the sin bin for being offside.

In true Quins fashion, they fought back with Dombrandt racing in for a try just before half time.

Esterhuizen then scored the opener of the second half to open up a 14-point gap before Chiefs came roaring back with tries from Sam Simmonds and Ollie Devoto. A Joe Simmonds penalty saw Chiefs lead 31-26, going into the final ten minutes.

Quins continued to not lie down and Lynagh raced in for a try with less than eight minutes left. He then added another one soon after to stretch Quins' lead to nine in the final few minutes.

A Stuart Hogg try made proceedings tense towards the end but Quins held on to record a famous win.
