Gymnasts from Richmond Gymnastics will be representing Great Britain at the Acrobatic European Age Group Competition and the European Championships.

This follows on from their bronze medal success at the World Age Group Competition last year.

The event takes place from the 12th to the 22nd of October 2023 in Varna, Bulgaria.

The gymnasts from Richmond who are representing Great Britain are:

  • Senior Women's Group: Michaela Cook, Amber Harvey and Imogen Wainman
  • Junior Mixed Pair (13 to 19 years): Toby Cooper-Driver and Anisa Arumugam
  • Junior Men's Group:  Louis Alexander, Freddie Turner, Rex Booth and Gethin Davies

The gymnasts competing in the 12 to 18 European Age Group Competition are:

  • Richmond Women's Group:  Chloe Bartholomew, Charlotte Dawson and Leela Were-Ramini
  • Men's Group: Christoph Tilroe, Jackson Birch, Alexander Lofnes, and Samuel Lewis

All of the gymnasts who have been selected for Great Britain are medal winners at this year's British Acrobatics Championships, which was held in July.

Four out of the five partnerships are currently British Champions.

Richmond's Head of Acrobatics said: "We are so proud to see our gymnasts hard work pay off with selections to represent Great Britain at the European Championships this year. With all the challenges they and many others have faced in recent years, we are delighted that five partnerships have the opportunity to compete on the European stage in Bulgaria and we hope they enjoy the experience."
