Harlequins Women powered to an impressive 80-7 win over Wasps in the Club's annual Game Changer fixture at The Stoop.

Amy Turner's squad scored 12 tries, including four tries from Ellie Kildunne and ten conversions from Lagi Tuima, to deliver their ninth win and move within four points of fourth placed Bristol Bears.

In front of a strong home crowd, Quins crossed for seven tries in the first half, with prop Bryony Cleall opening the scoring in the third minute.

From there Quins ran riot with a dominant display from Australian centre Bella McKenzie who charged through the Wasps defence in the 12th minute, drawing the final defender and popping to Kildunne for her first try of the afternoon.

With skipper Emily Scott controlling the attack from fly-half, Quins maintained their first half dominance with further tries to Kaitlan Leaney, Abby Dow, Ellie Killdunne, Lauren Torley and Katy Mew.

Facing a 45-0 deficit, Wasps finally found their attacking confidence in the final minutes of the first half. Phase by phase they worked their way into the Quins 22 before eventually breaching the home side's defence to score from close range. Fly-half Hannah Edwards converted to reduce the half-time score to 45-7.

Ten minutes into the second half and Quins celebrated their half-century with a clinical piece of attacking play. Scott kicked over the Wasps defence, Kildunne collected with speed and popped back to her skipper who charged over for the try.

Heading into the 55th minute, Quins activated their Impact Players with Babalwa Latscha, Emily Chancellor, Freya Aucken and Beth Blacklock providing the home side with further energy and tempo.

With Wasps proving tricky customers in the middle part of the second half, winning plenty of possession and responding to the Quins attack, it took Amy Turner's side until the 67th minute before they could extend their lead.

Winger Torley flying over her for second try, before Kildunne sliced through for her hat-trick in the 70th minute for the 66-7 advantage.

With Tuima slotting conversions from all parts of The Stoop, Quins finished the afternoon with an epic kick and chase try by Kildunne, before South African prop Babalwa Latsha drove over in the 80th minute to secure the 80-7 result.

Harlequins Women travel to Kingsholm next Sunday 21 May to face second placed Gloucester-Hartpury.
