The presentation - delivered by a senior BBFC officer and illustrated by multiple film clips - will cover topics such as a brief history of censorship, the Guidelines which are applied, an explanation and discussion of how films are classified by the BBFC and some controversial past decisions on classification. The presentation will be tailored to the RFS audience and will be followed by a Q&A.
60 non-member tickets are available to purchase for this presentation. Richmond Film Society was formed in 1963 and has since screened around 900 films. Our objective was, and remains, to bring our community the very best in World Cinema. Our seasons run from September to June and attract an aggregate audience of over 5,000.
