Richmond Film Society - Screening of Cottontail (Japan)
The Exchange, 75 London Road Twickenham TW1 1BE
Cinema
24 Mar 2026
Tuesday 24 March
A widower from Japan travels with his estranged son's family to England in order to fulfil his late wife's dying wish - to disperse her cremated remains in the place she loved the most, England's Lake District. So begins a journey to a far land, a journey which is sad, tragic, redemptive and comedic in turn. A powerful and poignant exploration of love, acceptance and the pain of family loss. Hence, we have a Japanese film set in the UK.
60 non-member tickets are available to purchase for this screening. Non-member tickets are £5 (full-time students £3) and can be purchased in advance from The Exchange's Box Office: online at http://exchangetwickenham.co.uk/events, by telephone 020 8240 2399 or in person. Non-member tickets have sold out for every screening this season, so early pre-booking via The Exchange is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.
