TICKBOX
The Exchange, Twickenham
Theatre
UNTIL Wednesday 15th March

Tickbox is a semi-autobiographical one-woman play, combining theatre, storytelling and comedy; sharing the journey of a Pakistani family arriving in Govan, Glasgow. Lubna's story is one we can all relate to - one of finding an identity and a place in society, of honouring one's parents and finding one's own way, and of learning to live with all sorts of different people. With humour - and a good dose of heart-tugging sadness - based around her Asian heritage, Lubna attempts to both break down and play on the stereotypes attached to her background, and ask: what boxes do we all have to tick to get on?
