Incredibly influential in the early days of Folk-rock in the UK, Fairport Convention – influenced by American bands The Byrds and Jefferson Airplane - were the first in the country to use electronic instruments to perform folk music.

Their most famous album, Liege and Lief, is still considered a classic today and won the BBC British Folk Awards in 2006 with great songs like Matty Groves.

The show - on July 21st - also features Devon born multi-instrumentalist singer and songwriter Seth Lakeman who will be providing his own exciting brand of Folk-rock.

A well-known and respected performer on the UK Folk rock scene, he won best folk singer and album of the year at the 2007 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
