Foley Fest: Family of late teacher plan music festival in twickenham in her memory

The family of a former teacher have applied to run a music festival in Twickenham in her memory.
Aine Foley, who spent 24 years teaching at the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School, died in November 2024 after a long battle with cancer.
In her honour, Foley Fest is being planned for this summer.
The school has donated its playing fields in Twickenham to the family to host the music event.
The licence application is for a one-day event with a maximum capacity of 1,000 people, running from 12pm to 9pm on 19 July 2025.
As part of the festival, there will be live music, including a performance by U2 tribute band Rattle & Hum.

Organisers are also raising money for the charities Marie Curie and Maggie's.
Marie Curie offers a rapid response service in west London and provided staff to sit with Aine during her final nights, allowing the family and loved ones to get some rest.
Maggie's, based at Charing Cross Hospital, supported Aine's family with a range of practical services, including a place for relatives to work and rest while she received treatment.
The closing date for representations is Wednesday, 14 May 2025.
