Work is ongoing to restore the footbridge over St Margarets Railway Station.

The bridge spans the railway line and gives residents living around Winchester Road an easy route over to Amyand Park Road.

It has been closed since late last year and will remain shut until the works are completed next month.

Network Rail who are carrying out the project said it involves stripping the bridge, making repairs and repainting.

The bridge is currently enclosed with scaffolding and white sheets.

A licence for the work expires on March 9 but Network Rail said it hopes to finish the job by the end of February.
