Twickenham's Marble Hill Park has been described as having 'turned into a lake' this morning, following high tides.

There have been extremely high tides in Twickenham over the weekend, with one X user (formerly Twitter) sharing images of cars parked in the high tides on Twickenham Riverside yesterday (25 February).

Warnings of high tides and flooding to low lying roads and foothpaths have been issued by the environment agency today.

The warning is in place for Putney Embankment (SW15), Chiswick Mall and Strand on the Green (W4), Thames Bank at Mortlake (SW14), Ranelagh Drive (TW1), Friars Lane and Water Lane (TW9), Riverside and The Embankment at Twickenham, and the Towpath below Teddington Lock.

Another X user, Cathy Cooper, has shared photographs of Marble Hill Park underwater, saying that it is a result of the tide and the water not draining away when it goes down.

Twickenham Riverside often floods due to the tides but over the last few weeks there have been some very frequent and very high tides.
