A local darts group is set to host a taster session in Whitton this autumn.

The Women's Amateur Darts League (TWADL) is coming to The Admiral Nelson pub on Tuesday 3 November for a free taster session.

The group says attendees can expect a free drink, a beginner friendly environment and a "fun social darts community for women".

TWADL's Whitton session is from 7:30-9:30pm with only 12 spaces available and is open to everyone over the age of 18.

A spokesperson for the group said: "TWADL is a relaxed, fun, social darts community for women.

"We use darts as a way of bringing women together in local pubs, with a bit of friendly competition, plenty of chat and absolutely no pressure at all to be good at darts!"

"We're particularly keen to reach women who might not normally consider joining a darts team or who simply fancy trying something new and meeting some people locally."

TWADL has now grown to five teams across Teddington and Twickenham, with further teams launching in Kingston, Surbiton and Whitton over the coming months.

Recently members of the group appeared on stage at a big professional darts tournament in Blackpool, on a YouTube series, and have been invited on to Joe Lycett's new TV series The Lycett Arms.
