Having spent most of their A-Levels studying in a pandemic students have many reasons to celebrate their achievements today, and one Twickenham school couldn't be prouder of its Sixth Formers.
Orleans Park School in Twickenham has seen the highest number of A* grades in its history, with 78% of students achieving A*-B grades and 48% achieving A*-A grades across all subjects.
The school is also celebrating its first student to begin a degree in Veterinary Medicine, as well as two heading off to the University of Oxford to study Physics and Biomedical Sciences.
Many others are off to top universities and art colleges across the country including Imperial College London, Durham University, Kingston School of Art and Camberwell College of Arts.
Several students are also heading straight into exciting careers and apprenticeships.
Headteacher Elaine Ball said: "We are incredibly proud of our Sixth Form students whose hard work has helped them to achieve such a fantastic set of results which have enabled them to take a significant step towards their future and continue the success of Orleans Park Sixth Form."
After two years of disruption and uncertainty these results are particularly impressive.
Four pupils achieved an incredible four A*s, and 29 pupils gained two A*s or more.
All subjects achieved over 50% A*-B grades, and a large number also achieved over 50% A*-A grades.
Deputy Headteacher Charlie Cahill said: "We are delighted for the students - they've really deserved it after these last two years."
Huge congratulations to everyone!
