A St Margarets pub garden is being taken over by Shakespeare comedies this week as part of Fuller's 'Shakespeare in the Garden' outdoor theatre series.

The Turk's Head in St Margaret's is hosting two of the Bard's most famous comedies, Love's Labour's Lost and As You Like It.

The plays are performed by Open Bar, a theatre company that specialises in staging shows in pubs and gardens.

Tickets cost £18 and the plays will be hosted in the pub's lovely outdoor area.

They say: "Experience Shakespeare as it was intended - informal, raucous and in a spacious pub garden with a drink in hand.

"Whether this will be your first, or thirty-first night of Shakespeare, you will not be disappointed."

This year is Fuller's' biggest ever Shakespeare In The Garden event, with 64 shows across 39 pubs from Bristol to Greenwich. Find out more here.

LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST

11TH AND 12TH AUGUST - 7:30 - 10:00PM

Four couples separated by an oath, a "fantastical spaniard" longing for a forbidden love, misplaced letters, a ridiculous play-within-a-play, a chorus of ukuleles, lightning-fast costume changes, drinks at your fingertips...could Open Bar be back in Fullers pub gardens with their unique, modern and fast-paced production of Love's Labour's Lost?

Four actors will play all seventeen characters in this mischievous, and rather pertinent, love story. We can't wait to bring you the kind of entertainment we all deserve this summer: laughter, romance and, perhaps most importantly, the longest word in Shakespeare!

AS YOU LIKE IT

AS YOU LIKE IT - 13TH AUGUST - 7:30 - 10:00PM

Run away with Rosalind and Celia as the Forest of Arden quite literally lands in your local pub garden this summer. It may look fresh out of Shakespeare's day, but Open Bar makes sure it's as relevant as ever, with original songs to help you follow the plot and six actors leaping around our two-storey set, what more could you ask for this summer?! Oh yes, a pint in your hand and a friend by your side!

You will gasp at the spectacle, laugh til your sides hurt and be humming the tunes for weeks afterwards. We can't wait to see you there!
