A road in Twickenham was blocked earlier after a Virgin van was crashed into a fence and a car.

Paramedics were called to Station Road about 3pm after the incident, but it is understood there were no major injuries.

An eyewitness told Twickenham Nub News: "He was driving down the road and failed to judge the distance between him and the car.

"He swerved to avoid the car and crashed into the fence, this bounced the van up onto two wheels which swung the back around into the car."

The road was still blocked more than two hours later.

We have contacted the London Ambulance Service for comment.
