The notice says: "We regret to inform you that a fire occurred at Locanda Luna on 23 August causing significant damage to the establishment."

It adds: "Thankfully no one was harmed during the incident, as all staff members were promptly evacuated to safety.

"However due to the extent of the damage, it is with great sadness that we must announce the temporary closure of our restaurant until further notice.

"Thankyou for understanding and we hope to see you soon!"

The fire brigade was called to York Street, in Twickenham at 12:17pm on 23 August and the fire was brought under control by 2:22pm.
