Whitton – Christmas Lights

On Sunday - Enjoy the festive atmosphere and start your Christmas shopping with over 50 market stalls and mulled wine, as well as fairground rides and games.

There is a disco along with live music and entertainment, which will be supplied by local schools and youth groups as they perform on the main stage. Most importantly, Santa will be in his Grotto all day to talk to all the good little boys and girls.

The event will take place on a pedestrianised Whitton High Street and will run from 2pm to 6pm.

The Exchange

Join the cast and crew as The Long Walk Home hits the big screen for the first time on Saturday night.

A family birthday celebration is interrupted by the unexpected return of errant eldest son, Will.

His sister struggles to contain her fury at the return of this prodigal son, but their father welcomes him with open arms. Once the birthday party is over and the guests have left, Will reveals why he has returned.

The film was shot in Richmond, Kingston and Teddington by Nine Yard Films in association with L'Ouest Studio of Los Angeles.

It stars award-winning actor James Corrigan, of Manhunt, School's Out Forever, The Royal Shakespeare Company; Mark Kempner, of This Country and EastEnders; Emily Tucker, or Blythe Spirit and Not Safe For Work; Betty Denville, of White House Farm and Endeavour; and Aaron Shosanya, of Top Boy and Famalam.

Following the screening there will be a Q&A session with the director Vanessa Bailey, cast and key crew.

On Friday night, The Basement Door at The Exchange, hosts bands, Down with the Stereotype, Broken Saints, King Kilili, Jaded Yves, Maschina, and Crimson Check.

Strawberry Hill House

The Strawberry Hill House Christmas Fair, organised in partnership with The Decorcafé, is back for its fifth year on Saturday and Sunday.

It will offer visitors the opportunity to shop for original, unique, yet affordable Christmas gifts created by over 40 exhibitors.

Exhibitors this year include Craft Editions who source beautiful hand-woven tableware; ceramics by the talented slipware potter, Jane Harris; and Gin from Becketts, a local distillery. Cards, delicious food, jewellery, accessories, and plants will also be among the many items on sale.

East Twickenham

On Friday afternoon - Residents are invited to gather for the Christmas Tree Lights switch on at 5pm on the Twickenham side of Richmond Bridge.

The area, which has been chosen for an £800,000 improvement scheme to the pavements and roads, is enjoying a renaissance with the opening of the 'outstanding' Deer Park School and Lidl supermarket.

Turner's House – Sandycombe Lodge

On Sunday November 28 and December 5 - Join the team and florist Karolina Garwacka and learn how to create your very own fresh Christmas wreath to decorate your home for the festive season.
