A Twickenham pub is set to host three days of chicken-themed celebrations featuring live music, competitions, family activities and the chance to win free chicken for a year.

Chicken Fest is coming to The George in Twickenham from 11 to 13 September, with a programme of events including a chicken quiz, hot wings competition, live bands and DJs.

The celebrations will include a Chicken Quiz at 7pm on Friday, 11 September, with free entry, free wings and the chance to win free chicken for a year.

Later that evening, enjoy DJ Vernon, also known as "Da Reel VIP", who takes to the decks from 8pm, playing soul, funk, blues and R&B.

The event will also feature a family fun day with face painting and garden games on Saturday, 12 September.

For those looking to test their tolerance for spice, a Hot Wings Competition will take place at 3pm, with free chicken for a year on offer for the winner.

Live music will continue into the evening, with Riverkites performing from 8pm.

There will also be a Rock & Rumble event with Taste of Twickenham on Sunday, 13 September, starting from 1pm and featuring Paul Bowen and The Allbeats.

In addition, the final day will see a Chicken Flavour Face Off event where four contenders showcase four different flavours to see who wins the best tasting chicken.
