Chess is an exciting, beautiful, cognitively demanding game which, for many people, grows into a lifelong hobby. "I first became interested in chess at secondary school," says Richmond & Twickenham Chess Club President Richard James, "and it has brought me a lifetime of pleasure and many lasting friendships."

We're now planning a new earlyevening session for young people aged 11–16 who'd like to explore chess as an adult game — thinking more deeply, playing longer games, and discovering the richness of the full chess experience.
