Police call for witnesses following suspected hit and run in Twickenham yesterday

UPDATE, August 12:
Police are calling for witnesses to come forward following a suspected hit and run incident in Twickenham yesterday.
A man is in a south London hospital following the collision on York Street, but his injuries are not thought to be life changing.
Witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage are being asked to contact police on 101 quoting CAD 1773/11Aug.
The Met police said: "At this stage, it is believed the male's injuries were the result of a road traffic collision.
"The vehicle did not stop at the scene.
"The man was taken to a hospital in south London, his injuries are not thought to be life changing."

Man taken to hospital after car crash injuring pedestrian in Twickenham A man is in hospital following a collision between a pedestrian and a car on York Street in Twickenham on Wednesday morning. Ambulance and police were called to the scene at 9.28am by Arragon Road and York Road, where Police say that officers: "found a man with significant injuries." London Road A310 southbound and York Road were closed for much of yesterday following the collision, and many Twitter users posted photos of the ensuing congestion. Passersby described the scene as "chaos", and one suggested that the pedestrian was an elderly man.
