March bus strikes to affect Twickenham bus routes:

Abellio bus workers are due to strike again in March, affecting some Richmond and Twickenham bus routes.

About 40 staff who work in the control rooms for Abellio buses are set to walk out on 7, 8, 9, 17, 19, 22 and 27 to 29 March, the union said.

The routes that affected by industrial action are primarily in South and South West London and include: 24, 27, 111, 156, 159, 267, 285, 322, 344, 345, 415 , 490, 969, H20, H25, H26, R68 and R70

Artist drawing every London pub sketches Twickenham's The Rifleman:

An artist, who is attempting to draw every pub in London, drew her second pub in Twickenham this week.

Lydia Wood (@lydiawooddrawings) drew The Rifelman Pub, after meeting a man who told her that it was his local pub.

Second protest held at Twickenham Stadium over military arms fairs:

Richmond and Kingston Palestine Solidarity Campaign (RKPSC) hosted a second protest at Twickenham Stadium on (uesday 27 February over an International Military Helicopter Fair. 

This second protest had a slightly smaller crowd than the January protest, however, there was still a number of protesters from the local area, as well as from places such as Greenwich, Hillingdon, and Southend.

Crash closes Twickenham high street:

Due to a road traffic accident in Twickenham, no buses were unable to pass through Twickenham High Street on Wednesday afternoon.

York Street was closed to cars following a crash between a car and police vehicle.

Harbour Porpoise spotted in River Thames at Twickenham:

A Harbour Porpoise was spotted in the river at Twickenham last week!

The porpoise was spotted near to Eel Pie Island.
