A new Home Bargains opened over the weekend weekend.

The store in Ivybridge Retail Park is occupying the space where Currys PC World used to be.

The retailer says it has invested around £1million in its new store and created 64 new jobs in the local community.

It opened on Saturday and we paid it a visit to see what bargains could be had.

Home Bargains sells homewares, toys, cosmetics, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks, a variety of fresh and frozen food.

There is an aisle for alcohol with spiced rum from the Manchester Drinks Co, which comes in flavours such as pineapple and coconut and vanilla, standing out.

For fitness fans, there is a row of protein products.

There are mini mason jars for just 39p and gold mesh lanterns for £7.99.

A 12-litre bin costs just £2.49.

Click through our photos at the top of this story to see a few of these items and take a further look inside the new store.
