TfL and JCDecaux want to upgrade the ad display at the Twickenham Station bus stop (credit: Planning application).

Upgraded bus stop ad display

Transport for London (TfL) proposed to update the advert display at its Twickenham Station Bus Stop C from still images to moving images.

In collaboration with French multinational advertising company, JCDecaux UK Limited, TfL aims to upgrade the ad display to more modern versions capable of showing live travel status updates, tourist information, and emergency messaging in the event of major incidents.

Planning committee rejects home alterations over privacy concerns

A newly constructed home on Amyand Park Road, Twickenham, has had its revised planning application rejected due to concerns over privacy and living standards.

The applicant, London Roc, sought to make changes to a previously approved development, including modifying the internal layout, removing solar panels from the design, and altering window placements.

The Richmond Planning Committee was advised to refuse the application on the basis that the changes could negatively impact privacy and quality of living conditions for both neighbours and future occupants.

US rock school gets approval for signs at new Twickenham site

School of Rock's plans to install new signs at the former Barclays Bank building on York Street, Twickenham, has been approved by Richmond Council.

The multinational music school put forward plans in January 2025 after finalising a master franchise agreement in the UK in May last year which would see the company develop 30 new schools across the country over the next 11 years.
