Signs have gone up for a new cake shop in the heart of Twickenham town.

Cake Co, a bakery franchise, had its plans approved for a new shopfront at 44 King Street last month.

The site formerly housed kitchen showroom brand Wood Stone, but is now set become the 16th Cake Co location.

New features include a high-specification frameless glass shopfront and a central frameless glass double door.

First opened as Paul's Bakery in 1994, Cake Co is a family run business who believe "cakes should taste as good as they look".
