Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time SEN Teacher (3 days per week) to join our SEN Secondary School. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, supporting the development of students, and implementing effective teaching strategies. This role requires a strong commitment to the academic and personal growth of children, ensuring that each student receives the attention they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to SEN students,
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Provide individual support to students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and behaviour.
  • Facilitate activities that promote social skills, communication, and teamwork among students.
  • Assist in the preparation of educational materials and resources.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

  • QTS or QTLS status
  • Knowledge of special education practices is highly desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • ASAP start

The School:

SEN school with both a primary and secondary campus. The school caters for students with complex needs, including autism.
