Fines for fly-tipping in Richmond will rise to £1,000, despite concerns for residents who might not be able to afford the sum.
Richmond Council's environment committee approved the plans on January 16 but Cllrs have raised concerns that residents may not be able to afford the fines.

Filming for feature film to take place in Twickenham today:
Filming for a feature film took place in Twickenham on Thursday 18 January.
A letter to residents said: "Milky Way Media are currently in production of a new feature film entitled 'Blood and Ink'".
The letter also said that the filming would take place in the vicinity of The Embankment, Church Lane, Twickenham Riverside, and York House Gardens.

Family-run restaurant supports the local community by sponsoring Table of Hope:
Local Twickenham business, Greek Cook & Grill, sponsored a community lunch in collaboration with Shepherd's Star charity on Sunday 7 January.
They successfully fed 97 individuals within the Twickenham community.

Local Twickenham family donate chess piece to Church Street chess board:
A local Twickenham family has donated a chess piece to the community giant chess board on Church Street.
Alex and Ben Jones, keen chess players and a local family have donated a White Queen to replace one that was damaged.
The White Queen piece was stolen in November and was replaced with a spare one.
A spokesperson for Church Street told Nub News that about two weeks ago the replacement white queen was damaged and had to be repaired with gaffer tape.

Seal spotted in the River Thames in Twickenham:
A seal was spotted in the River Thames near Twickenham this week!
Local kayaker, Captain Quack, posted his sighting on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).
He said: "Just spotted the Thames Grey Seal by Radnor Garden in Twickenham.
"Gently bobbing and snorting on the surface, before disappearing again."
