What can we learn from the works of JMW Turner and how can we use his experiences in our own art?

Join Art Historian, Catherine Parry Wingfield, and Learning and Volunteers Officer, Rita Piglionica, in the beautiful and inspiring setting of Turner's House, to engage with works by Turner and discover how these can be a starting point to create new works that connect to contemporary themes and new creativity. First, listen to a brief talk, then respond by making your own work and experimenting with different art materials in an artist-led creative session.

Programme per each session

10:30am – Welcome and introductions

10:30am – Lecture

11:00am – Break

11:10am – Experimentation with art materials and artistic response to the lecture

12:30pm – Conclusion

All levels are welcome. Lecture, materials, and light refreshments are included in the ticket price. Places are limited so booking is essential.
