A new specialist bereavement charity for people in Twickenham will launch next month.
Called space2grieve, the charity has a team of highly trained bereavement specialists who will offer free and confidential bereavement support for adults, children and families in Richmond borough.
The community-run charity is supported by several local groups including the Hampton Fund, Bob Willis Fund and Richmond Parish Lands.
It will be run by expert volunteers and administrators and offer fee one-to-one sessions, either in person or via Zoom.
The charity will have a welcoming space at the ETNA Community Centre and also a presence in schools to offer support for younger people.
In a press release yesterday (17 August) the charity said: "Bereavement can affect many areas of life – the ability to work at home or school, family life, physical and emotional wellbeing, as well as myriad changes to everyday living.
"Experienced, professional, caring support can help when reflecting on those losses and changes, and help people find a path forward."
Contact the service by emailing [email protected] or calling 0751 937 6363.
