This talk will be concerned with the selection of Christiane Baumgartner's works for her exhibition at Strawberry Hill House, placing emphasis on the medium of woodcut printing, and the artist's awareness of the tradition within which she is working, stretching back to Albrecht Durer. Recent prints, often depicting aspects of the natural world, will be considered in the context of her practice overall.
