Solar PV and Batteries: My Home and Your Home
the Conservatory at the Exchange, 75 London Rd, Twickenham TW1 1BE
Miscellaneous
UNTIL Wednesday 5th July

Following on from previous popular talks, Richmond and Twickenham Friends of the Earth are delighted to have local resident and scientist Michael de Podesta presenting a talk on solar power and batteries.
Installing solar panels is one of the most significant ways we reduce carbon dioxide emissions from our homes. And although installation can be expensive, it can generate considerable savings.
In this talk, Michael de Podesta will first describe the elements of the roof-top solar installation in his house, outlining the working of the different parts of the installation, and the reasons for the decisions he made. This will include data on actual generation and both financial and carbon dioxide savings.
He will then describe how you can estimate the likely effect of a solar installation on your house, and the pros and cons of various choices: panel types, panel locations, inverter types, and batteries.
The talk will be held at 7.30pm on 5th July 2023 at the Conservatory at the Exchange, 75 London Rd, Twickenham TW1 1BE
